Positives!

There are many positive attributes of those with Autism.  Since Autism is a SPECTRUM disorder, not every person with Autism has everyone of these attributes.  Some may have one or two, where as others may have any combination. 

·       Highly focused, especially when it comes to special interests

o   Employers love this skill, because it benefits those in technical fields that require intense attention to detail

·       Loyal and trustworthy

o   People on the spectrum make great friends for this reason

·       Rarely lie

o   Those with Autism actually have to “learn to lie.”  This is another one of those social skills that doesn’t come naturally.

·       Passionate

o   A high interest and emotional investment in their interests and skills

·       Memorization

o   Tend to have the ability to remember in great detail events and facts

·       Organized

o   Those who have a tendency to be perfectionists are also usually highly organized
